On Tuesday, 23rd April 2019, MBA-HRD, Department of Commerce, Delhi School of Economics organized a guest lecture by Mr. Nimit Mathur, Manager – Talent – HR Analytics and Reporting at Deloitte – USI. The topic of the guest lecture was Preparing for entry into the Corporate World.
Sir started the session by giving a brief introduction to his own work experience. He continued the session by motivating the students to build up their profile by paying more emphasis on leadership qualities and being more proactive. He also gave some tips to utilize the 2 year MBA program in an efficient and effective way.
The session became more interactive when he asked the students about their expectations after the MBA program and which field they would choose after the course completion. He also gave some suggestions to make our summer Internship more knowledgeable and effective by being more proactive all the time and taking initiative whenever possible. He said that we should always be ready to accept every opportunity and every role that will be offered to us in the future and we must always crave for learning new things.
He further explained his role which is HR analytics, in his current job and gave the students various insights about the HR analytics and how it is useful in today’s world. Several new tools like R, Python were discussed in the session along with their practical implications. The session was very Interactive and insightful and we hope to have Sir on campus again in the future.
